Jennifer Marbury is a Bahamian artist, living in Milton, Massachusetts. Jennifer is drawn to recreating the sun saturated hues of the Bahamas using watercolour and acrylic paint. Lately, Jennifer has been focused on creating a series of Bahamian seascapes in various styles to capture the vibrancy and jewel-like spectrum of colours that can be found throughout the Bahamas, by exploring the interplay of light and shadow within and above the ocean’s surface, exploring unexpected perspectives and subject matter through a minimalistic lens. Jennifer received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Illustration, 1997) and a Masters of Arts in Teaching (Visual Arts, 1998) from the Rhode Island School of Design.
